I talk about the alarm being wired into the car here. It was a mess and as I said before, probably a blessing that the car had it. This kept it from being stolen in southern California. At one time the 5.0 Mustang was one of the highest stolen vehicles.
What's funny is that when you opened the car and got in to start it you had to make sure that the door was shut or the alarm would start going off when you turned the switch to the "on" position.
After fixing all of these problems with the car I've taken it to two shows, one out of state, and two driving events. I did have the distributor fail on me last year but that's to be expected out of a car that was treated very poorly. By the time I get done with this car the systems will all be new or like new.
